You make hope possible.

Remembering 9/11

Today, in particular, we pay our respects to those who lost their lives in the horrifying attacks of September 11, 2001. It is an important time to reflect on what it is that makes our country so remarkable, and to celebrate those who risk their lives to protect our freedom. All of our veterans, particularly our Post-9/11 veterans, have sacrificed so much for our benefit. They fought for us then. They fight for us now. And it’s our job to honor them and give back when and where we can.

There are a number of ways to celebrate our veterans; donning your red, white, and blue; displaying an American flag on the outside of your home. But then, there’s the even more meaningful way to show your American spirit and to support our veterans after they’ve come home. Make an automobile donation and give back to your community, and by extension, your country.

And Here's Why

First and foremost, the proceeds from our auto auctions directly support our veteran rehabilitation services. Because of the programs we offer, Volunteers of America of Greater Ohio is currently the leading human services provider to homeless veterans in the Cincinnati, Cleveland, Columbus, and Dayton metro areas. Car donations are the fuel that keeps those programs running. Help us help those who have served our country by way of your Cleveland car donation. And because these donations are a means of charitable giving, your donation will earn you a nice tax deduction that you’ll be able to put towards a new car.

Car upkeep can get very expensive, and sometimes the price of maintaining a car can equal the cost of simply getting a new one. To make matters worse, it is getting more and more expensive to repair newer cars. More modern models have harder-to-fix features that tend to break the bank. Wouldn’t it be better to spend that hard-earned cash on a new set of wheels instead? A simple Cleveland car donation with Volunteers of America of Greater Ohio can alleviate the financial burden that goes along with auto repairs. Also worth mentioning, a new car is a safer car, and your auto donation is the first step towards a brand new ride. It’s a win-win-win; you get a tax deduction, you save money on repairs, AND you’ll have a newer (and safer) vehicle.

Plus! We Make it Easy

We know you have a busy schedule and that trying to sell your car isn’t something you want or have time to do. Donating your car to Volunteers of America is quick and oh-so-easy. Just fill out our online form, and we’ll come haul it away for free. We happily accept anything with a motor: boats, motorcycles, lawn mowers, RVs, things that run on fuel.

A quick donation is the perfect way to honor those who put their lives on the line for our security. So on this, the 16th anniversary of the attacks of September 11, think about how you can contribute to the betterment of our veterans lives, post-9/11 and beyond.
