Learning life skills

Through the Grounded For Life the mentorship program, homeless individuals can develop various life skills essential for a high quality of living. The available mentorship covers a wide range of topics, from finances to coping with loss.

The meetings take place on Tuesday evenings, and volunteers can help with preparing hot meals and serving them to participants. The week-long Vacation Bible School program teaches youth about God through fun, creative activities led by ministers. Children will do arts and crafts and even act out skits during the program. It takes place during the first week of August. ― You can help by donating school supplies and children’s bibles or by volunteering.

Tools for success

The Well-Rested Child program provides beds for children in need; from ages three to 18. This service enables children to receive the sleep their growing bodies need. Donations of linens, mattresses, and box springs are appreciated and let us reach more families. We also offer Welcome Home Kits that contain toiletries, cleaning products, and basic home goods. This program helps formerly homeless families that join our program feel more at home in their new living situations. ― Look at our Wish List for items that we are accepting as donations.
