Volunteers of America works to prevent unemployment and underemployment through a range of training and employment services. Our programs include adult literacy, computer centers, work experience programs, counseling, job placement and supportive employment for individuals with disabilities.

Employment Resource Center, Columbus
We serve veterans and low-income individuals with little or no work experience. The program includes classes on computer skills, resume and cover letter writing, interview preparedness, anger management, and job searching and retention. Students participate in job fairs and receive one-on-one guidance to gain employment.

A computer resource center offers individuals e-mail and Internet access. Student can use one of 16 computers, learn a wide variety of software, and also have access to a fax machine, copier and telephones.
